Factory Orange Peel
I would go with wetsanding and buffing with compound. probably start with something around 1200 if the peel isnt too bad be careful not to use 1200 too much then move up in grits till you get to 2000 then buff with rubbing compound, finesse, then vitalizer (these are 3M products and theyre the only ones that im familiar with but they work great IMO). it should get most of the orange peel out. be prepared to spend a couple days to get this done.
dreamworks customs. Jeff is the shiznit, VERY nice guy too. He painted my camaro back in the day and it came out with NO orange peel at all. On a stock paint job you do need to be careful though, a lot of factory paint jobs come with a very low mil (thickness) of clear coat...
You can also take it to shine car shine. the have a packe that will detail the whole car, as well as do a little wet sanding. My buddy had a black saturn and took it to them and it came out looking great. no more surface scratches and a lot lot less orange peel...

dont fuck with your stock shit nick, they put maybe one coat of clear on and the chances of burning through the factory coat is pretty high. and like nushine said, thats factory paint and its hard as a rock since its been on there for so long. almost all factory paint jobs have orange peel, its just the nature of the beast when it comes to production painting. custom shops like ours or nushine take the time to cut it and buff it so it looks like a mirror, i do it with just about everything i paint even when it has very minimal orange peel just cause the quality afterwards look so much better. when you can count your nose hairs on a car panel, thats when you know that shit is right. i could take a picture of the reflection of something on my car and you couldnt tell the difference, thats what most people expect when they come to independent shops, going to a place like hall or some other big body shop they arent going to take the time to cut and buff the car cause it takes too long and costs too much time.but i really wouldnt take the chance on messing with your factory paint, its so brittle and thin the chances of having to repair it are very high.
and btw nushine...that blue is300 you painted was rather gorgeous.he came to the shop for a few repairs and that car is sick, nice job man.
