lets discuss newport news
The numbered streets in NN are even considered a step up. Jay is so gangsta from P-town he gotz a 357 in his name son!!
It's not my city. I don't live in either one thankfully. And let's not go judging people based on where they live. My friends are Navy and are stationed on the George Washington which is ported at the P-town shipyard. So kindly stfu on that one mkay pumpkin?
However, yes McArthur and Granby make Norfolk a BETTER place that P-town. When people come to VA to visit, I don't see P-town in any listings as far as one of the hot spots. Only if you like consistent gun play and have a fetish for roberies should you tour P-town. And the only true reason you should be there, other than a job, is you fucking got lost or if you just needed to take a shit on the sidewalk.

So your friends choose to live in the ghetto? Are they complaining or are you doing it for them? If they or you had any knowledge of the city you would know that as soon as portsmouth blvd (2 more miles) crosses airline its not ghetto at all.
Also by your logic the only good cities are the ones with better tourism. Since when are grandby and mcarthur considered "hot spots" on tourist lists? Does grandby or mcartrhur lower the crime rate of Norfolk? They probably raise it and thats what this thread is about. Those places dont make Norfolk any better place to live.

I could afford to live in any of the 757 cities. I disagree with you and choose this one. You guys stay where you feel safe and uppity...Ill be ok here.
Neither one of us are complaining. They choose not to drive over bridges and tunnels every fucking day and I don't blame them. By my logic, NORFOLK IS BETTER THAN P-TOWN. I could comfortably take a family in the McArthur/Granby area and have a great time. There are lots of things to do there. What is there to do in P-town other than lock your doors and dodge bullets. lol
