I was heading to work this morning, my drive is from Fincastle to Salem, 90% interstate 81 south. There's always state cops out. Well this morning I noticed a state cop in between the entrance and exit ramps at Daleville, kind of a weird spot to be at really. I don't know if he had pulled someone over and was waiting to get over or what..

Anyways, so i kept on going and was going up the hill heading towards the weigh station. I just happen to look in my rear view mirror and barely catch a glimpse of a motorcycle absolutely FLYING down the road. There was a truck about 50 yards ahead of me in the left hand lane, I was in the right. This guy HAD to have been going atleast 150. He blew past me and had to lean pretty good to make it into the right lane to clear the truck.

He was going so fast I had no idea what kind of bike it was, except that it was a supersport for sure, and had a stock exhaust, the guy didnt seem to be wearing gear because all I saw was his white long sleeve shirt flappin in the wind like mad (probably a long sleeve teeshirt..).

There was a bunch of traffic ahead block both lanes, so he decided to go off onto the right shoulder. Dust was flyin up everywhere. He was probably 300 yards in front of me in a matter seconds, GONE.

Just about the time I made it to beside the weigh station, here comes a state cop taking chase to the bike (who is out of sight by now), he was probably going 90-100 mph. About when I made it just past the weigh station, here come 4 more state police, all with their lights and/or sirens on. I was pretty amazed at how they came from out of nowhere.

I was really not looking forward to going further, I figured I'd see traffic stopped, a bunch of cops, and a smeared body all over the road, this guy was a NUT. Well I made it to the plantation exit, saw a few cops taking that exit, some had cut their lights off, others kept going on I81 south.

That was the last I saw of the motorcycle or cops until I took the second Salem exit. I have no idea if it was the guy or not, but I saw a silver R1 heading towards catawba rd, going rather slow. It kinda suprised me so I didn't get a good look at the bike or what the person was wearing, it could have been that guy or maybe not.

So, I don't know if the cops were chasing him before the interstate and that one cop at daleville was waiting for him or what, but I gathered that the guy was lucky if he got away from the cops (much less from a deadly wreck) judging by how fast cops were all over the place, even though he was on a motorcycle. I was also suprised that they would even take chase!

So thats my story for the day

I often catch a lot of shit because most of the time when I ride, I'm wearing leathers... There are times where I've ridden around in a tshirt, but those days are few and far between. Going that fast without gear is, for a lack of better words, fucking retarded! He'd be lucky to be killed if he lost control.

 

man i saw him this morning also!!!! i was sitting on the plantation exit in traffic, when a yellow bike came flying past me on the emergency lane/ grass, next thing i know here comes 5 cops behind him. what he did was get off on the exit , blew the stop sign and right back on i81, when the cops got to the exit a few got back on 81, one went right towards the water plant, and the other down plantation.. guy was a complete nut!!!

 

I figured someone else had to have seen him as well!!!

I'm suprised they even saw him get on the the exit ramp, this guy was like frickin Ghost Rider over in the UK or somethin lol..

So it was a yellow bike, guess that silver R1 was innocent I wouldn't be suprised if an innocent rider got pulled over today sometime ha..

 

Can't mistake him for me. Mine has been in the shop for a month.
