I didn't think having an aftermarket exhaust was considered "criminal"activity. My suggestion would be get some sort of documentation that the removal was done.

i have a friend that got caught doing it, he took a pic of another car and left that cars license plate on there so it was his fault he got caught. Lied to the judge and they held him until all the other cases were done and he went again. got teh exhaust ticket and a steeper fine since he pissed the judge off.
