How much potential does your car have?
1.5grand I can be low 13/mid 13s.
Thats not what I'm into right now, and I want reliable horsepower. So I'ma just spend alot of money to get what I want, a nice stock Honda motor.
My old car had a 1000 dollar turbo kit on it and it helds own. 7psi on a b16 motor in a hatchback.

heres another question i've been having how come you can put down 500hp in one car ( ex: Z06) and it seems like there are alot less issues with traction as oppose to if i was putting down 500hp in a mustang id have tons more issues with traction? Is it just a suspension issue? Car design?
Throw a decent solid rear and you'll have 50% less issues on launch.
A cars potentional is only limited by the owners wallet.....

Though I'd rather be slow in my mustang than fast in that....

ya but wont that effect handling in the twisties? How do you like your IRS now with the sitffer poly bushings?
ya but then you get into the territory we were discussing earlier in the thread. When does the car stop being that car and start to become nothing more then a fabricated race car with the previous cars body.
I would say as soon as you redesign its original frame structure it is no longer that car. Until then, you are just adding extra stuff to the original factory parts.
Adding bracing onto a frame VS. cutting the frame to make it work how you want it.
