Nissan Skyline (Reborn)
I dont know if anyone mentioned it because I didnt read the whole thread, but now the skyline and the GTR are two seperate cars. The one posted is the GTR. Price tag is about $70,000 if I remember correctly. This car is completely unrelated to the skylines/G35's/350's.

From the Nissan site...
"With sales due to start in Japan in December, Nissan is today also confirming the final name of the car. Previous generations of this car were known as the Skyline GT-R; the new name for this car is simply “Nissan GT-R” in all global markets. Supporting substantial early customer interest in the Nissan GT-R, the company is today making available for customers in Japan some initial details including basic specifications, colors and practical information on placing pre-orders. Prices in Japan for the Nissan GT-R will start from around 7.8 million yen."
The answer to your question is NO!

The Skyline is a different car. The GTR is the car you are thinking about. Skyline is the G35 in Japan.
because you guys are down something that for lack of better words is sure brilliance on nissan's part. it based on a chasis that is similar to a 350z but still stands out on its own. it is made to out perform a euro sports car and is doing just that. i know about both cars but i also know the g35 sedan was out before both of them and the 350z got its ques from the G35. so looks like you need to do your own research idiot.
simply put the new skyline is going to blow a lot of people out of the water. they managed to double to horsepower from on gen to the next and still maintain daily driveability. and are lapping the ring fast as shit. remove your heads from your asses and realize that nissan is climbing the ranks to be known as a serious competitor against porche, bmw, audi etc.

Not to piss on anyones parade, but I'll buy an '08 vette before I buy a $70k Nissan. Its about $25k cheaper. BUT, for those who really want to spend that type of cash, at least you can say you drive a GT-R (not a skyline)
