Thanks for all the help i understand all the numbers of the cars, i am not stupid. I was getting at they in the fact they are 2 seat sports cars like comparing apples to oranges. So i wanted some personal feed back from people. They are almost completly different in all aspects.

Josh,
If you want, I can stop by your place after work one day and let you take a good look at mine. You probably won't go with the S once you really see how small the cockpit is.

The 350z is more practical, but the one I was driving was getting 10mpg.

I admire the 350 powerplant...but that's it.

S2000 all the way. I love this car, on my second, and pretty sure I will be sticking to the S for a very very long time.

As for the passenger airbag issue, the 06+ models have a sensor and turn off automatically when a child/midget is sensed. No switch though.

Have you thought about the RX8. I think of it as a daily drivable s2000. Same type of power delivery from the motor. Exact same transmission. Back seat for the kid. Little softer suspension but handle just as well. The gas mileage isn't as bad as most people make it out to be. I get about 18 mpg and that's really driving the car.
