Default 93 Foxbody...

Ok, so my best friend has a 93 LX with a 331 stroker, heads, cam, intake mani(trickflow), full exhaust(including headers), pulleys, 255lph fuel pump, 30lb injectors, and a fpr. What should be his next mod? Hes got a vortec v-1 s trim at the crib just waiting to be installed. Any recommendations as far as power adders? I told him to get an AFR gauge next, but hes unsure.

The ugeo will be just fine and they are not that expensive. I would recommend that he gets a tune or at least have it checked when the supercharger goes on. A meth injection kit would be helpful for intercooling. If engine is built for boost he may want to look into a set of 42# injectors so he can run more boost.

I would recommend he get a blow thru carb setup from demon or something once he puts the charger on. It'll be so much easier in the long run.

I'd advise a turbo setup if he wants to make some real power, but that's just me. and if he has the stock block he might wanna look at a dart or man o war piece because the stocker will split right down the middle if not.

Yup, that's the weak part of the 5.0. Anything above 400 horses and they tend to crack around cylinder number 1 in the lifter valley. Throw the supercharger on. I've got a 347 in my 88 and that thing scares the shit out of me. Can't imagine what it would be like supercharged.

If he is going to add a S-Trim to that stroker he's needs to upgrade the fuel system more. That combo will be north of 450hp and will require more fuel pump, larger lines, rails and at least 42# injectors with the corresponding larger MAF or it will lean out past 5000rpm. Before that though he should decide whether his drivetrain can take the added torque because a stock T-5 and 28 spline axles won't put up with it very long.

+1 for drivetrain. T-5 wont hold up for shit past 400hp. Alot of people either go for the tremec TKO5/600 or go automatic. I personally went from 3 T-5s to a C4 and havn't regretted it once.
