Dunno who you talked to, there are a few 'owners.' Chris knows his restaurant though so if you talked with any of the guys who actually run the place (ie not just investor~owner) then you probably would have had a diff impression. We go and just blow up over the apps. Order a bunch (skewers are the deal) and a bottle of wine and we're set. Antipasta table is great too.

vb2ner hey where'd you work with bobby?? I agree the guy knows how to cook! Don't know if he's still doing the oyster stew but that's all that has to be said here

Thanks for the input, but neither of us are really fans of seafood.

I actually thought about the Trellis, but she said she has been there and wasn't very impressed. Thanks for the offer though.

The Melting Pot? Are you serious?

Ricky, you REALLY need to develop your palate if you think that place is good.

Not all chain restaurants are that bad. Personally, my favorite place to eat is Texas Roadhouse, which is a typical chain restaurant, I just really like their food. I'm just looking for something a little more.. special I guess. Outback would be a good comparison to a place I'm looking to take her (food wise at least), just like I said, I want to go somewhere she's never been, and everyone has been to Outback.

Like I've said before, there won't be any drinking. My g/f is not of legal age to consume, and we will probably be going for a ride afterwards, which means no drinking for me either.
