When i first start my car and its really cold my motor gets a sudden knock, for about 1 second(the first full rotate of the rotating assembly)then it is fine.Is that a sign of a rod bearing getting to the point of failure?I had plans to do acl bearings when i do my oil pan gasket but dang this just did it this morning. After that the car runs perfectly fine, other than a weird idle at some times.
you dont have racing mounts do ya? friends car makes a loud knock when he first fires it up,but its 100% from the mounts didnt do it till after we installed his az race mounts. hope its somthing like that.
wow, if it made noise like that from the mounts, they suck. I've has solid mounts for YEARS with no noise. I haven't meet one person yet with "mount noise"
