haha do they train you guys to say this? Sounds like they are a little ticked off Verizon is getting everyone to make the switch.
ohh too bad they also told me that the upgrade will not start until 2010
Everyone, really..... That's why its not offered anywhere in portsmouth (last i checked), very little of Chesapeake and maybe a little better than half the beach? Most people i know i norfolk can't get it either.
I don't really give a shit to be honest, i hate COX just as much in this area. You have ignorant ass people working as CSR's, and even dumber fucking techs....i am amazed at the shit i see guys do. Guys rehanging a drop with fucking zipties...laying cable across flower beds...its unreal.
My point is, COX has had broadband for 10 years now, give or take a year......where was Verizon?
I would like to see the hype, unfortunately, they have yet to give a date of when it may be available in the Portsmouth area. But Hey!, They are the shit
And if anyone wants to be contacted about getting FiOS, PM me your phone number so I can get a damn sales credit. I'm a service tech for Verizon but they make us sell shit, too. I haven't sold dick this year and I need a sale or 2 to meet requirements!! (Oops)
I'm a Splicer out of Richmond, Va for verizon. They aren't making the Sell One Mores requirements for us. I know we're placing the cable all over the place in richmond. The service is amazing though.. Fios > Cox
What? Ummm they have ran all new stuff in my buddies house next door. The lines are 2 totaly differ things. He ran cox for 2 days until he took his box back to the store front. cox comes from my telephone pole to the house. The fios is ran from a orange 2 in line infront under ground to a little box mounted in my utility room which also has the battery back up system.

A typical installation turns any coax port in the house into a port you can watch fios tv on. If you plug in a tv directly to the port without a verizon cable box, you are limited to channel 2-50. If you have a box, it gives you all the channels you pay for. Was your friend not using a jack in the house? Did he have a tv/stb plugged straight into the plug from outside for cox?
