Default help needed

alright here my problem..i pulled my motor did what i had to do, now its back in. but now my battery light is coming on, but when i hit the gas it goes off. my volt meter is sayin im only at 10.9 to 11.2 at times even when goin and not at idle..what u guys think?

ground or short.

if your below 12 volts you should be running off the battery or are having a severly weak charge from the alternator.... i say this because when u rev it up its pulling from the battery and it can support the extra draw. check all your power cables again.... even the ones going to the alt. and look for a short.... i think it may be the alternator but i cant figure why it would just quit working...

i know that on some fords if you replace a alternator and the batterey has a weak charge and you start it you will fuck it up instantly.... itl still work but wont charge work a fuck.

Belt slipping on the alt or bad alt maybe?

check to see what voltage your alternator is pushing, should be at least 12.5V, if not bad/worn belt or alternator itself. if you didn't have the probelm before taking the motor out its prolly the belt isn't tight enough or just plain worn out!

i found put what it was..the underhood fuse box the metal piece that u bolt the main harness to had brokin and the connection wasnt good

you could prolly find one at a junk and just pull the piece you need.
