Default What size turbo should i run on my d15??

Well my turbo started developing shaft play so i have a feeling it wont last much longer.Im currently running a .37/.42 trim dinky turbo. Now i am having trouble finding that in a replacement externally wastegated one so what would i look for.Im not looking to make any more than 200whp im quite happy with what i have now(201) and im looking for it to spool up down low around 25-3200rpm's.

I have been thinking about a T04e but im not sure if that would be over kill or whatever.PLEASE if you have any insight let me know.

Something sized closer to a T28 with a small exhaust side would be good.

You want a small A/R exhaust, with a small wheel. And a turbo that pushes as much pressure as possible at the horsepower you're looking for. This provides the best economy, the best torque curve, and the fastest spool.

Garrett GT2052 would be a nice choice. 140-225 hp, for 1.4-2.0L engines.

Cool Re: What size turbo should i run on my d15??

T3 super 60, or a DSM turbo if u want faster spoolage.

I have a super 60 on my d16 and make 190w/10psi on a mustang dyno.

You could get a K03 turbo from any 1.8T VW motor. Full spool is before 4000 and is good for around 21 psi... (I had it on my GTi and with stock 10psi you can feel it kick) Best part probably is the low end spool, 5th gear at 35mph you can hear it start to spool and builds steady boost before 3000... Just a thought.

Another thought... You could buy the k04 upgrade turbo and use it. Good for even more boost and has better boost response...

I vote 60trim T3 for ease of installation on the manifold you have now or get a different manifold and bolt up a 16g/20g
