"TEAM" EMPIRE?
If your going to be a pretty big team, might want to get a website going with a list of members and events. Could help with publicity and sponsorship....or you could do a cool myspace account
For those that use radar, you will soon find that 99% of cops in roanoke do NOT run instant-on (radar user's worst enemy haha)...in fact i've NEVER seen a case of instant on in the 9 months i've owned mine...so I really dont worry about it...just be smart, and dont drive like an asshole everywhere.
The one speeding ticket I got was from instant-on radar on 581 near the Peters Creek exit. I had one of the old school radar detectors that weren't undetectable, but it was one that had a separate receiver and head unit (which was in my glove compartment). I was driving along, and all of a sudden the detector goes crazy. It was at 1 am and the cop was behind some bushes where I couldn't see him. When I saw him pull out I switched off the detector and closed my glove box. He grilled me about a radar detector for maybe 10 minutes before letting me go with just the speeding ticket.
Haha thats funny.
I find that in any situation in which Instant-On is being used, if you have a really good RD it'll pick up the signal shots way ahead of time being used on other vehicles.
Not many cops here, or even in VA, use Instant On because they rarely suspect RD users, therefore they dont bother with the 'hassle' of triggering it each time a car goes by.
Now in NC its a differen't story, they use Instant On a bunch!! So in reality, we're lucky RDs are illegal here in VA, if you have an undetectable one, because it keeps cops running around all over the place with their radar on...they rarely try to be strategic. They catch enough people as it is without having to use Instant-On, Laser, POP, etc..
