question, is there an actual visual difference between 1080p and 1080i?

 

In static images, I couldn't tell a difference but for an example if you tried using it as a monitor, 1920 x 1080 at 30 hz (1080i) would flicker when I scrolled down. In movies or games it doesn't make a noticeable difference to me, but going from the xbox from 1080i thru component to 1080p in hdmi made a world of difference, and to anyone else I showed the difference too.
