I got a call from somebody at the DIY network about 2 years ago about hosting a bike restoration show. Somebody got a hold of one of my magazines, called me, yadda yadda. I submitted a home made tape my wife helped me shoot in the garage (no, not THAT kind...he he). They were interested and we talked back and forth a little and then they stopped calling me. I don't have the DIY network, but I caught an episode (can't remember the name of the show...but I'd recognize it if anyone watches that channel) at a buddy's house one day and the guy they had hosting it was a total clown shoe. I must really suck at TV.

Pick up a cheap ass Harbor Freight mig, a decent helmet and gloves, and a BFH and practice making shit fit. Once you build a little confidence, upgrade the tools and repeat.

I can use the tools at the shop. I do have a good helmet and gloves. But that is def. a good Idea. I might start buying my own tools and set up an area in our garage.

A BFH is a must. I'm partial to a 3 lb. with a short handle!
