I have a problem in first gear. it only happens when the car is rolling. not a fast roll. but like when you get in traffic and they are going really slow i will pull it out of gear and coast. but when its time to take back off at like 5 mph it grinds pretty bad. but when i come to a stop its fine. i know there is a lot of people that gear grinds but i havent read into it. i put a new clutch and bled the tranny. its a 97 civic SOHC if anyone wants to know. it also grinds when i shift hard into second and third. any help is needed.

 

put your foot on the clutch pedal then try and shift.

i know that some cars wont let you put it in first even if your going slow, my truck wont let me put it in first unless im at snail speed... might be your problem?
