Motor Mount question
Hello again. My car is running great since I cleaned out the IACV and throttle body so now I found something else I want to fix.
Car: 1995 Integra LS
Engine: B16a2
Tranny: Stock Rebuilt LS tranny with ~5kmi
I noticed that there is a harsher-than-usual jerk accompanied by what sounds like the engine/trans jolting about when the clutch is engaged quickly at anything about ~1,500 rpm and up. The car experiences 8,500 rpm every now and then
so I was thinking I might need a new mount, probably a trans mount. Also, I have noticed it is hard to put into first and reverse (with a slight grinding in reverse). I know about the mechinism that keeps you from putting the car in first while rolling but it has trouble going into first in all scinerios. I thought this might be the result of the tranny being out of alignment because of a damaged mount.
Any advice on what the trouble is? Any suggestions on mounts and/or brands?
Thanks in advance!

Well OEM mounts are probably what you want, for a smooth ride. with urethane or solid mounts you will feel the engine a lot more but will stop the motor from twisting so much, but you can get a torque damper for that. for the hard shift put you some synchro-mesh in that bitch! should help, tey sell it at autozone for like 5$ a quart.
I thought about getting a urethane trans mount (if thats the bad one) but I thought that if the rest of the mounts were OEM than the engine/trans would wear uneavenly. I'm not too worried about the noise, I just dont want my dash to rattle to pieces...
I went to a couple places around town and they didn't have the GM Syncromesh. I had heard a lot about it and I wanted to try it because my car has a bad 3rd gear grind when shifting hard but when I got my trans flushed I asked about the Syncromesh and they didnt have it either. Instead, the guy talked me into getting some "TP" treatment or something like that. He said it would take care of the third gear grind and it didn't. He also said that the company gurantees their product and will return the cost of the product if the customer is unsatified. It was only $15 but I think they will be hearing from me.
I need to get some bondo from Autozone to cover up the holes from my former shame of a ricey HONDA emblem on my Acura (previous owner...) so I will look for the Syncromesh then but I have to say, I will have mixed feeling if I find it so easily.

The stuff at autozone is Pennzoil synchromesh. it's the same thing as the gm synchromesh but its about 6$ cheeper and you don't have to go to a gm dealership. theres a couple things on honda-tech and the internet about it to if you wanna check some other sources. This is from their site:
Pennzoil® Synchromesh Fluid
Pennzoil® Synchromesh Fluid is a synchromesh transmission fluid designed for certain manual transaxles and manual transmissions used by General Motors or Chrysler. Pennzoil® Synchromesh Fluid is formulated with high-quality paraffinic base stocks, a fluidity modifier, multifunctional performance additives, corrosion inhibitors, a foam suppressor and a shear stable viscosity index improver additive. It provides excellent oxidation stability, low-temperature performance, excellent synchronizer performance and compatibility with yellow metals, such as bronze, brass and copper components found in manual transaxles and transmissions. This product will satisfactorily lubricate General Motors or Chrysler manual transaxles and transmissions from -40°C to +150°C.
Benefits:

Check your shift rubber bushings too, if you have a damaged or deteriorated bushings the linkage can get out of alignment and make shifting more difficult.
no just lift the car up and theres one at the back by the shifter and one that connects the linkage to the trans. heres a link to what they look like:
