ahhhhhhhh!! Man thats no good, let me know what you find.
When I owned mine it seemed like no matter how much money was put into it, it would never break 300awhp unless the heads and everything else was reworked.

It def. can be done. But right around the 300 wheel horse range is when you may want to build the tranny. Imma hopefully have the VF34 this summer and hopefully sitting at 350 crank so well see if it will hold. But i know a guy who will have the same setup and he said his is holding up great. Guess its all on how you drive it. Just ordered new piping then imma tune it to see if it goes up anywhere near 300 without bigger turbo. But im sure the stock TD04 is about maxed out.

Yeah,
The VF34s can make upwards of 260-275awhp.
My 18G Deadbolt with 750cc's, UTEC Piggy back + 22psi/pump, Gruppe-S Headers, straight full 3" exhaust, FMIC, etc. made like 301awhp. There really wasn't a single thing else I could've done asides from maybe a 20G, headwork/intake manifold work to squeeze more out. I think 330-340whp is the most you'll get...and that's with a lot of lag.
In 1st gear when it hit....at 5500rpm....it was wild, but then you had to shift like 1 second later! haha
