i'm doing the swap not because i think it is cool but because it will make a better vehicle... just like any other ls1 swap does to all those ricers.
it will have better mileage, more throttle response, sound better, have more power, more torque and hold it over a larger power band. what more could you ask for? it might even be lighter vs cast iron block/cast iron head, 2pc aluminum intake v6! all for an even trade $ wise just labor on my part. it's a no brainer.
i heard that mustang i roll raced ran a 11.2 so i was right to think my truck is around an 11.3 as a v6.

You can't control the heat as well with a mig which is bad with stainless. The metal doesn't fatigue nearly as bad with a tig if you know what your doing. Sugaring on the inside of the pipes is another result. It can happen with tiging also but thats why you back purge the pipes. If your mig isn't stong enough the welds with crack after a few heat cycles. Beveling the ends of the pipe can help with that though.
I have both a tig and a mig and wouldn't even consider miging turbo manifolds for one of my cars or any customers. I don't know of any shops that would mig a set of turbo manifolds either. I'm sure you could flux core or arc weld some pipes together and it may work but it's not a great idea in my opinion.
