Advice for first time at the track
don't get discouraged by your first couple of passes. The first time i ever took my car to the track i did my first pass and thought "wow, that one felt pretty good..has to be atleast a high 13" and i got a 14.8 or something equally rediculous. Just keep practicing on getting your 60ft down. I don't know how busy it will be but if you start getting alot of runs in one after the other be sure to take a break and let the car cool off. Another time after hot lapping the car a few runs my clutch started to seize up because it was getting pretty hot.
like everyone else said just go out there and have a good time, your probably going to line up against someone else and you might even win a few races but just take each opportunity at the tree to get more comfortable launching the car since it's your first time out there.

Don't be a dick and light all your bulbs at once.
Relax and have fun... and try not to hit the brakes before the finish line- I totally did that my first time cuz I'm used to being in the pit and not actually driving down the lane.
seriously.. though.. just have fun..

and make sure your in first gear not reverse, seen so many re-haw's go to stage and go pass where they are suppose to, put it in reverse to stage and forget they are in reverse and launch the car in reverse. its funny as hell to watch the people do that but damn don't be the person everyone laugh's at, just relax and have fun. again get a set of 13x8 bogarts or welds with some m&h slicks and enjoy life.
What she means is:
When you stage it's common courtesy to light your top two staging lights and wait for the other person to do the same. Then roll up and light the bottom two together. I've seen this less and less though.
First time I staged, I had my window opened slightly.
They told me I had to roll it up. No biggie.
first do a gnarly burnout in the box then roll out of it. then dry hop the car once or twice to clear the remaining debris off your tires. then stage the car.while you are waiting for the lights to drop, snap off vtacks like them bitches are goin out of style. then when youre ready to launch side step the clutch. next when its time to hit your next shift dont use the clutch and never lift off the gas just rip the shifter into 2nd. so forth and so on. then after the finish line you have to pull your parachute and stab the breaks. if you dont have a chute you are so fucked. your car will crash and you will die. hope this helps.
