I hope the chassis rigidity goes up with the hardtop. I wish they had kept the more flowing lines of the concept, but it looks pretty nice. I would actually consider buying one now that there is an alternative to a soft top.
Are they gonna put it on a diet with the hardtops?
no they left all the chassis stiffeners from the vert as it is still considered an open top car.

not likely, they planned it that way to be more forgiving but there are rear frame stiffeners out that will cause the backend to slide any direction you want.

?? Car is pretty good in wrecks - at least any report of roll-over on the forum everyone has walked away without much issue. (These were the soft-top versions obviously) I'm 6'1 though, much bigger and you'd have a hard time fitting.

Maybe I just like the option of being able to crawl out a window or something if the doors are fucked. (plan ahead and whatnot )
