I know this topic has been discussed many times.

I got an exhaust ticket and plan to get rid of it for good. I will be taking pictures after the stock exhaust has been installed.

My question is what do you plead in court? Do you plead guilty and explain that you've corrected the violation? or do you plead not guilty?

I did search and found countless threads discussing how to get around the ticket, that is not my question. I'm not expecting to have it thrown out, I want the judge to see that I fixed the problem and not put it on record.

My question is how are people pleading when the judge calls you to stand.

I did not find any threads going in detail about the trial other than providing receipts/pictures.

Specifically for the Fairfax County courthouse. Thanks for any help!!

 

plead not guilty then explain that u replaced it and it will get dropped.

not necessarily in that order

 

i got a ticket for exhaust.. took it off.. took a pic.. brought in the pic. showed the judge. judge dropped it. that's it. there was no pleading or anything. i just told the judge i removed it.

 

yeah im going for an exhaust ticket in early april. Time to take a picture. w00t.
