Thank you! If you don't wear proper gear, you deserve it.

I am just going to keep track of the things people say here in case something happens to them and I need to know how to respond.

yeah you're right. Tankslappers is more headshake gone all fucked up and out of control.

More unpleasant and dangerous than wander, head shake is both sudden and brutal.
It most usually occurs when accelerating, and causes steering wobble with the fork even going as far as smashing the steering buffers. The rider can be thrown off and injured due to head shake.

This can happen on all motorcycles, but there are nevertheless certain pre-requisites : a motorcycle with a high torque engine (engine torque is the capacity to deliver the power instantaneously), with a rigid frame and short wheelbase will be more subject to it than a trail bike with its more flexible frame and less powerful engine.

Tyre wear, suspension adjustment (front fork too hard, or using worn oil) are aggravating factors. A steering damper can overcome the problem, but this often reduces the agility of the bike.

Congratulations on saying that nearly everybody on the cycle forums deserves to get into a bike crash horrific enough to lose a body part. You sir, are full of fail.

Especially since most accidents that people I know have been in have been the fault of some retarded cager who didn't know how to pay attention.

for a good attempt. However, you're saying that if I go out in basketball shorts and t-shirt, wreck, and get all fucked up, that I don't deserve it? Honestly, I don't give a fuck if a damn go-kart jumped out in front of me and I ate it, if I wasn't wearing the proper gear, I deserve any injuries that came from that.

Tell me where the fuck I "fail" there.

There is no way around it man. If somebody goes out in a leather jacket, leather pants, or a one piece with gloves and a helmet and not boots they are not wearing proper gear to an extent. I will admit that it is foolish to go out riding with a t-shirt, basketball shorts, and sandals, but the way you stated your argument made it sound that if anyone went out missing just one piece of gear that they deserved to go down.

The guy in the story was missing leather pants and boots, which probably would have saved his leg, but tell me, when was the last time you have ever seen anyone ride in full leathers around Virginia Beach?
