If I get lucky, I'll find a nice stainless Colt 1911 at a price a can't pass up.
Don't get a Glock.
At the Hampton show last weekend, there was a vendor selling a 5" Colt Government model for $880. I about choked on my tongue when I saw that...

Yeah... I'm still going too. I can always find good deals on 7.62 X 39mm at gun shows. At the Hampton show, I was buying brass cased, full metal jacket, 7.62 for cheaper than what I could typically get .223.

Ever since I picked up the .308, I'm starting to reload. If you ever go shooting without me, save all the brass. I WANT IT ALL!
The 200 round battle packs of .308 that Ashley's dad buys and what booty jeans girl were selling @ the gun show were $115 for 200 rounds. That comes out to $0.58/round.
When I reload for precision shooting (vs plinking shooting) it's only $0.43/round. This is Sierra Match King 168gr Hollow Point Boat Tails. Not FMJs or Military Surplus. If it did reload for plinkin' ammo (150gr FMJs) it only comes out to $0.29/round so I'll def be reloading .308

The ones he got at the show were $.40 a round this time around. And Sportsmansguide.com for the battle pack is only $85

I'd like to get into reloading, but frankly I don't have the time nor the place to do it. Combine that with the fact that I don't know if I'm ready for that responsibility and I think I'll be doing re-loading at a latter time in my life.

I hear ya bro. 308 for me for now. I'm just stoked that 308 plinkin' ammo is only going to be 25cents a shot!
I picked up a 22-250 rifle, the ammo isn't cheap and the brass isn't as common as say, .223. Will be reloading as soon as I collect enough from these cheapies fired through during the barrel break in period, though. Green Top has the green RCBS kit for $289, same price as the red Hornady.
Does anybody here know where I can purchase cheap ammunition in large quantities? Preferably a box of 500, 1000, 2000 for target practice, something more than just a 100 box.
