I'm just saying that I like the fact that a 23 year old RWD Corolla with double-digit RWHP (and 249k+ miles...) can beat the new millenium Lancer "OZ Rally" edition. The kid who bragged about it said he gets 120 to the wheels.
He never topped out past 59MPH on the track. I did every time LOL.
I just like to sit back and laugh about that day... We raced together like 5 times AND BEAT him every single time.
Then I raced a Stang. And a CRX.

The kid who was bragging doesn't understand that there is a loss in hp from the tranny to the wheels and needs to be educated. Mitsubishi engines are rated at the crank not the wheels. So he was obviously going by what the dealer fact sheet said.
I wasn't dogging on you. I hope you don't think that. I was more dogging the kid who told you he was fast in his Lancer. I think the AE86 is a remarkable and unique platform. Can't wait till they bring the platform back... which I think they were saying they were going to.

I have a more than slightly modifed 03 Lancer and I'm slow as fuck. The 02-07 Lancer is esscentially the same engine and power as the Mirage 1.8 liter. It's horribly under powered.
