Best buy is much bigger than circuit city and if Eclipse was better than Alpine why wouldnt they get them and sell it? They would rather carry product that is better not crappy one that would give problems.

Eclipse is made by Fujitsu.. Hello they are IT company. Their main business is IT stuff not car audio. Alpine is. Their main focus is audio and they are the one that makes all these parts for luxury cars audio these days. So are you going to say Logitech speakers for computers are better than Klipsche?
Becuase they are made by IT company like Eclipse?

The breakdown comes from the fact that they charged this person absurd amounts for each thing they put on the car. Everything was over MSRP, not to mention their labor costs. I could hire Donald Trump to do work on my car for less...

Flagrantly showing how much you ripped off someone is not cool no matter what your view of the car is. Not to mention the various other horrible business practices seen by RPM.

Same thing. SQ wise, Eclipse is better for less. This person was like "oh I want to be able to say I have a full alpine system."

As seen in the very idea that they would put alpine speakers in this car. MB, Focal, DD... ALL would blow Alpine speakers away.

 

the person was told the price and agreed with it, how is that ripping someone off?
if someone was willing to pay you more for a job then they should pay, are you going to turn them down? nope.
this may be why you dont own a business.
judging by how RPM has talked on here, they seem to always be willing to work on price. im sure if the guy talked with them more, he could have gotten the price down.

So if it is cheaper it is better? You will pay more than one because it will break. then why dont you just keep your stock cheap ass broken one because you dont have to pay anything and you will believe yourself it is better.

You get what you paid for. If you wanna do all your thing half ass then dont even start. get it done right the first time and done with it instead of buying multiple deck because it only last few month. you will end up paying more and you will cry like a little baby in a diaper
