no, i'm saying money could be better spent and rpm hasn't done anything to increase performance. and unique and west coast aren't "wack" not because "they dont got performance", it's because their work is shit.
and as far as the argument concerning aesthetics goes: yes. it's subjective. the customer is paying for that work to be done because that's what he wants, but he is not paying for someone to post masturbatory threads on a regional forum about what's been done to the car. it's self-indulgent and unprofessional.
let the customer come here and post about your work. and stop promoting slogans and taglines (best tint in richmond, smoothest $2 handjob this side of the mississippi, etc.). then i, and possibly others, would be more inclined to patron the business.

if someone was willing to pay you more for a job then they should pay, are you going to turn them down? nope.
this may be why you dont own a business.
judging by how RPM has talked on here, they seem to always be willing to work on price. im sure if the guy talked with them more, he could have gotten the price down.
i am just a lowly mechanic, with absolutely no business experience whatsoever, but i do know that a business can survive only for a short term when their pricing is more than the market can handle.
good luck in the coming months and years, cause if you feel that you can keep going by doing business the way you do, then you will need all the luck you can get.
