im lookin into this 96 12v auto cummins 2500. it was a company truck and the guy doesnt know too much about it but he said it has a cold start???? and when he started it he let it heat up like usual and then went to kick it over and it took like 10-15 seconds to fire. is this normal?
no, cummins motors should start just with a bump of the key, ive owned both 12 and 24 valve and only in 20 deg weather when i dont plug it in do i have to let it heat.
i had a similar problem to this on my 12v and it turned out to be the fuel heater which sits right by the filter.
