I know that most transmissions have the vin stamped onto them,or atleast mine does. But is there a way to check the mileage on the motor according to the last time the donor car was registered? Basically is there a vin stamp anywhere on the motor,ive checked everywhere but i want to make sure before i call it quits.

Any info is well appreciated...

 

there SHOULD be a vin code on the front of the block down near the oil pan.
