A few questions
I run Bridgestones for Racing only, the BT-002 and now the new BT-003..... as for street I wouldnt run a Bridgestone. The Pirelli Corsa III or the Michelin 2CT is the way to go on the street.
Damn Jake, I should have looked at this thread earlier. I have run battle hacks on both my '91 ZX6 (88 rwhp) and my '03 ZX6R (108 rwhp). Both time I ran them, I couldn't get the rear end to heat up enough to stick when I needed it to and both times....I wrecked. I won't use them. I have Dunlops on my bike now and that's pretty much all I've ever used over the last 20+ years of riding sportbikes! Those Pirelli's at Cycle Gear should be great though, I've heard good things about them. I got my last set of Dunlops at Cycle Gear for $160 for the set...couldn't beat it!
Oil. I run full synthetic Amsoil motorcycle oil. Runs great. Runs cool. Does the job...and my dad's a dealer! I also am using the Amsoil oil filters. It is very important that when you get oil for your bike, get bike oil only. Car oils don't have the mollys that you need in a bike. Remember, you clutch plates stay imersed in the oil...cars don't. Car oil can make your clutch slip and wear out too quickly...I went through 3 clutches while I was running Castrol Syntec in my '91...lasted a lot longer when I went to bike oil.
Get the oil from Dave...great deal. Bike oil (like everything else bike related) is expensive!

They were sold out at the store by 930 am. I still was able to get them online though.
I like the rotella T, but hes right about the oil. Car oils dont have certain detergents or less of them. Simply put, Diesel and motorcycle oils have more stuff to fight wear. (severe duty, 14k rpm to pulling 20k lbs.)

car oils are too slippery, they have a tendency to take out clutches. that, and in a car, the oil isn't ran thru the trans like most bikes, so it needs to be able to handle that. use motorcycle specific oil. i, personally, use gn4 dinosaur oil (the honda brand stuff) and have never had a problem.
and yeah, i love me some bridgestones. i ran bt's on the track too, never had a problem till i over heated them, then they turn to snot, but that's gonna be the case with any tire when over heated. on the street though, i've NEVER had any complaints with them. tire selection is all personal preference though. i know people that swear by dunlops, but i can't freaking stand them. when they slide, they slide WAAAYYY out, with little to no warning. with the bridgestones, i always felt like i had better feel, and i could tell better what the bike was doing under me when pushed hard. all tires are gonna suck if you aren't smooth with your inputs (steering, braking, etc).
oh, and fuck shinko's. i hate those tires. great on the drag strip, crap everywhere else. the profile of thier tires makes any bike i've ever ridden with them handle like poo.
like i said though, personal preference.

Oh, we're all moved in now too!
