You wont fail inspection. Dont go cheap on anything because there is a reason why these products have different prices.

It actualy depends on the inspector. One of the 2 inspectors at my job will fail a car if it has altered suspension period. But I belive in the SI book it says that it has to be safe and not altered (example as in cut or heated springs). I will look at the book tomrrow. As long as they are name brand you should have any problems. Also I have KYB struts and Tein S-Tech springs on my eg coupe and I love them.

What you are looking at buying at called Coilover sleeves.

One of the best brands for that is Ground control, they are a bit more then the others but well worth it. On the other hand DO NOT go with ractive or drop zone, both are cheep brands and will give you a shit ride.

I have heard good things about both skunk2 and Omni power coilovers.

If i had to buy a set of coilover sleeves it would be Ground control > Omni Power > Skunk 2

Do NOT get the Dropzone or Reactive.... they suck and bounce very rough.... on the other hand, I've used a set of Ground Controls and Skunk2 before.... I like both of the but to choose one from both.... I say GC. It rides a lot smoother. Keep in mind that GC coilover sleeves actually has Eibach springs. Also, Skunk2 and Omni coilover sleeves are the same. Omni used to be a designer/engineer at Skunk2. He just carried out the same design after creating his own company... even their camber kits are the same. Goodluck with your project.

i'm riding on dropzone springs with stock shocks.
i don't think i bounce terribly.
i would recommend upgrading shocks though, mine are needing replaced.

you get what you pay for... i mean with drop zone and reactive you may get lucky or you may not. i've rode in cars with drop zone coilovers and they weren't bouncy. the ride was pretty nice. then again, others have rode like crap. if you got enough, then i'd say go with the skunks or ground controls. they're both pretty respectable companies. and i would definitely get a camber kit, if you got the money for everything. it would be easier to do it all at once too.

I'd strongly suggest saving up and getting something quality the first round.

Going with a cheap brand will just give you a shitty ride that makes driving the car anywhere a pain in the ass. Plus I'd discourage a set of coilover sleeves with stock shocks. Again, shit ride, stock shocks can't handle the increased rates and will blow pretty quickly.

Check out a set of PIC Apex coilovers. The feel and quality is on par with a GC/Koni setup, fantastic customer service, and you'll only need to do it once.

Then i started to wonder if i need to get an adjustable camber kit so i wouldnt have to deal w/ uneven tire wear or buying new tires too often.
So what do i really need to lower my car i was thinking 2 inches max i dont wanna slam it cus there are alot of bumps around my neighborhood. Price is a factor , im only 17 so im not made of money.
These are the coilovers that i was thinking about getting...
