the island isn't the nicest in the world but if you know a lot of locals and what not it's A LOT more fun there. Flight is terrible though, I flew out of Tokyo to the states. Bad enough as it is, double bad with a crying child that will NOT SHUT THE FUCK UP THE ENTIRE TIME right by you

Hahaha I think I have you beat!!! I flew from Seattle, WA to Sitka, Alaska which is a 5 hour flight.

To my right was a 350 pound dike with two buckets of KFC chicken on the floor = smell of cold kfc =

To my left was a 2 year old kid that his trashy mom had not washed him in 5 days or more = smelly kid =

On top of it all, the mother of the lady with the kid was hot so she was fanning the lady, pushing the smell of the kid into my nose. FUCK WAS I PISSED!!

Thankfully, I will be at the Hilton, and I'm an HHonors Diamond VIP, so I should be in good shape.

My flight will be long and hard, but the 20,000 miles I will get out of it will be worth it, and I'll be able to hang out in the United Red Carpet Club and ANA Signet Lounges on the way, so I won't be bothered by the peons at the gate for too long, and will be able to get significantly liquored up.

I'm flying ORF-CLT-SFO-KIX-GUM-KIX-SFO-PHL-ORF.

EHH. I remember that flight. Shitty. Took me two weeks to adjust.

I just wish the flights to and from Osaka weren't on United. I don't think they offer complimentary alcohol on trans-Pac flights anymore. I know they used to, but I don't think so anymore. I'd much rather fly the trans-Pac on ANA as I've flown them several times in the past and thoroughly enjoyed myself, but I couldn't make the itinerary work.

I am a huge Delta Fan for domestic flights. Platinum Medallion Member baby! Flying first class really makes a huge difference. Good luck on your flights.

I've never had good experiences on Delta. Not even in First Class. This of course is my opinion only as many of my co-workers love Delta and are some level of Medallion.

I myself am Gold on US Airways, which will hopefully get me upgraded on my domestic legs (at Gold it is a 50-75% chance), but the important benefit is lounge access. I have about 7 hours of layover in Osaka each way, which I will be able to spend in the ANA Business Class lounge or Signet Lounge.
