I've never had good experiences on Delta. Not even in First Class. This of course is my opinion only as many of my co-workers love Delta and are some level of Medallion.
I myself am Gold on US Airways, which will hopefully get me upgraded on my domestic legs (at Gold it is a 50-75% chance), but the important benefit is lounge access. I have about 7 hours of layover in Osaka each way, which I will be able to spend in the ANA Business Class lounge or Signet Lounge.
Thats sweet. Every flight I get two free drinks if I don't fly first class. I have had some problems with Delta but not as bad as Continental/American.

I'd agree with you about American. No one should ever be subjected to their service.
Now how do you get free drinks in Coach? Is that some unwritten privelige at Platinum? Blowjobs?
I'm relegated to sitting on my bench, putting my headphones in, and putting my shooting muffs over them so I can actually hear the music. It's the only noise canceling solution that actually works on Mil-Air. LOL
You and I both. Maybe it's because I'm 6'4" and the cocksucker in front of me always feels the need to recline their seat. By the end of a flight, my knees are so sore from being scrunched up, I can barely walk.

I don't know why I can't.
I spent 14 hours in lie-flat seat on Qatar Airways Business Class and still couldn't sleep.
