Default odd noise

Ok, lately i've noticed a knocking noise whenever i accelerate in the lower gears. I'm pretty sure its not the engine because it doesnt do it while just idling (sp?). but then again, i have limited knowledge on the anatomy of cars. Sometimes i dont hear it at all...my friend suggested it had something to do w/ the wheels...any suggestions/hints/help? thanks.

Remind me to take a look at it next time I see you. I don't think either one of us were physically capable of driving last time we hung out.

Start by checking the obvious...CV boots, ball joints.

Things that have happened to me with similar symptoms: Loose lug nut(s), nail in tire and a TINY ass pebble stuck between the brake rotor and dust shield.

Guess which one made the most/worst sounding noise -_-"

if you took your lug nut locks off...and put the mount back on without the lock...that could cause it too.....assuming you have lug nut locks and took em off
