everytime i get pulled they run the vin to make sure it matches but never bother with the engine serial http://ill.cc/hallo/badboy.jpg
Great advice....when we find engines sometimes they are hard to trace back to a victim because they dont know the engine number. Especially with all the swaps going on its hard to know which car they were in when it got stolen.

This is awesome! Thats also a great idea regarding the serial numbers on engines, etc. Lets make it overwhelmingly difficult for these assholes to just take what others decided to go out and work hard for.

another good idea is to etch your engine somewhere with your own number/mark to help identify it later. Or better yet, if you go to a vin etching somewhere, some will have the ultraviolet tags to put on your parts.

I thought I heard someone messing with my ITR last night. I can't see the whole car from the window and when I went downstairs I didn't see anyone.

It's hard to do so. What if you have a JDM motor like many?

yikes.
I told myself if my car gets stolen, again. I'd either build a strictly drag car and have it be the biggest piece of shit or move to another type of car like a MR2 or a '5.0' Mustang.

Glad to see something happening. I would really like to find out who were involved. I know my stuff is long gone by now.

just a heads up for everyone.

Me and some of the gorillafast guys were bullshitting in our parking lot the other night when some sketchy ass people drove by. Busted ass civic hatch. Silver. Dents. Looked like a fake buddy club rear bumper and side skirts. No front bumper. 3 people in the car. driver was black-not sure about the other 2. Haven't seen that car around this area before. Va plates- didn't think to remember them until immediately after. They creeped through checking out my integra, wide body mr2 and subie. Few bikes were out too but we were standing around those.

I'll keep my eyes peeled. I've been approached by a few people interested in "buying" my car when I was driving down military and I usually make sure I get behind them so as not to be followed home but coulda happened.

edit: my bad, chesapeake. military hwy area and greenbrier area
