You need to ask yourself what is the car going to be used for. Sounds to me like you want the WOW factor in your car. Sr is pleanty for most. A well built SR can yeild very high numbers. Are you planning on Drifting, auto-x, hpde,....what!!!!
I have seen a ton of RB26 240's in miami from wild to stock. its been proven that a stock rb can handle 500hp w/ supporting mods. Dont build a car for other people. Try to always build a purpose built car. You will have more fun this way. SR's have a lot of support right now from local parts stores. Go with what has been proven to work. You can always add your own touch to it. Think out side the box.

Again .....if done right who cares. I seen pleanty of SR swaps that where fantastic. Thinking out side the box would definetly not be an RB. Its been done pleanty of times. RB26 is not a big deal any more. Fanboys will go ooh aahh and drool all over it. If thats what he wants then so be it.

Thats pretty out of the box if you ask me. People that do really really fantastic swaps, etc., probably do spend just the same money/effort as a rb26 swap and you know it. Top of the line parts cost $$, and to make a sr20 swap stand out you need a lot of it.

Can I ask you if you owned, worked on, or built an SR powered car? or riden in an RB26 powered car? If not, your opinon is really not valid. Let the guys that actually build, swap, and drive these cars help out the OP.

Than I stated how common sr20 swaps are, because it doesn't take a genius to search the auto forums and see all the swapped p.o.s.'s for sale.

My friend just finished his RB25 in a S15... Took him three years... But even he would tell you it was a pain in the ass and A LOT of money.

I went to high school with a kid who had a RB25 in a S14 (graduated from Tabb). It took him a while to get everything together and put in, but its possible. It really all depends on how much you want to make, what you want to do with it, and how dedicated you are to the swap. Also keep in mind that it will be a bit harder to find parts without having to order them. I mean I've seen a SR swap that took 2 days, and been party to a B series swap that took a little over 18 hours. It would have gone faster if we didn't stop to get drunk.
