going that dark IS legal. thats the darkest you can go legally. but really, i dont think its even worth the money doing it legal. i have had 20% on all the cars i have ever had, and even 20% on the front windows, and 5% on the back of my bmw. i have never once been pulled over for my tint. alot of cops dont really care about it. (i have friends that are cops) as long as your not doing anything ignorant, i dont see it a problem with you going darker then legal...like i said, its a waste of money doing it legal because you can still see in the car VERY easily

just to add to this, im not sure where you are at because i didnt look, but TNT tinting in VA beach will put whatever you want on the car. thats where i got all of my cars done at. but you have to sign a waiver saying its for offroad use only. i have an en eclipse with exhaust, a 94 rx7 with exhaust,
a black bmw, a ford lightning and now a VW. i have had AT LEAST 20% on all of them, some of them darker...you will be fine with going darker then 35%

Yeah im sure ill be fine. But there are those cops out there that want to be buttholes and give u tickets when it is legal. I know 50% tint isnt that much but i'd rather pay once rather than have to pay multiple times to get it redone and pay for the ticket if a cop decides to give me one.

True that!

haha i had 15% all the way around! and got stopped all day. but they couldnt check my rear!

But ill pay to play, because legal is basically clear, im not paying 150+ fr clear tint.

i now re tinted to 15-20% and will play the game again.

they cant give you a ticket if its legal. if they dont have a meter to check it, which they can only do on windows that can open, then they cant prove its illegal. the way i looked at it was, if i got a ticket for it, i was gonna pay it. the ticket would be cheaper to pay then to get the tint re-done. FUCK THAT

i work at express tint in centreville, and just to let u know the cops are cracking down, but they can't give u a ticket for it being legal
va legal limit is 50 on the front doors and 35 on the rear section and you are allowed up to 7% difference

and some fairfax co. cops have 2pc tint meters now, so they can check back windows

for 2dr cars we charge $190 and 4dr cars we charge $220

you can give us a call at 703-988-9577 we're across the street from ihop and alto plaza on the corner of 28&29
