Either I bogged the shit out the car or I smoked them down the track.... My shifts were on point, but I just couldnt get a good 60' to save my life.... 2.0 was the best I could get. Tire pressure was best at 25 psi.... I tried to go lower but the car would just wheel hop like crazy and then I would have to get off the throttle....

And to top it off, my last pass of the day, the fucking clutched slipped when I slammed 3rd gear....

Track temp was around 138 or so when we left at 2pm.... They tried spraying VHT 3 times and it actually made it worse. It couldnt dry because it was so hot....

I was getting really pissed off.... At myself mostly.

110-111 is a pretty bad trap for a z06 honestly.

I was trapping 109. Even if you launched shitty i'd figure you'd have a few more mph.

Clutches in these cars are very touchy, i owuldnt worry about that slip in 3rd. Just start changing the fluid and it should be fine. Mine slips if i dont come out just right.

Most 01s average around 114-117mph.... 02-04s are in the 115-118mph.... With it being very few in the 118 range. The humidity was horrible today so I know that played a big role. Everyone else was running their avg mph today except me, so Im not sure the total reason why.... But the car seemed to run great. No hiccups or anything.

I definitely know about the sensitivity of these clutches.... Mine just seems to do it alot lately. Ive changed the fluid a few times now and it only helps for alil.... Ill be getting a new clutch soon, so its not a big worry. I knew I would need one sooner or later.

What was your best time in your FRC? Ever run it stock?

I have never had a problem with the track prep at MIR before.... Ever. And Ive ran pretty much every car Ive ever owned there.... Alot.

Today was just not a good day.... For me.

13.01@109 This was in its current form, just intake and mufflers.

I had a better run later that night, it was .1 faster on the 1/8 but i missed 4th..funny how that works.

I was running consistant 13.0's though. This was on factory run flats getting 2.0 60's pretty much just street starts little to no spin.

Just like with your clutch slipping, mine did a few times after the track so it kept me away from going and i started autoxing. But ill probably go back in september to get the 12 slip and be done with it.

well no luck on posting the video tonight, dont have the fire wire hookup. Getting another laptop tomorrow so video will be up then. Yeah the track got worse through out the day as it heated up. My third run of the day was my best and only 60ft under a 2.0. Cut a 1.79 60ft and went 11.93@117 and it was actually spinning off the line. One more run i spun way too much and all the others i was bogging on the launch badly. practice, practice, practice
