The officer down the street and my old man have a contest each year to see whos fireworks are the most hardcore...he told my dad that they dont give a shit, as long as there are'nt any noise complaints and you're not damaging property.

The best place at my house for fireworks is in the front yard, with the spinny/flying things on the road. And it's easy to keep the kids back safely behind the fence in the backyard. But, it would be harder to casually see us doing things in the back yard. I don't think the cops care, either, but would rather not get fined.

What's the actual fine/punishment for fireworks? Is it a summary offense akin to a speeding ticket, or a misdemeanor that would give me a criminal record?

Well, we had some pretty good stuff last night. Bunch of roman candles, bursting rockets, and a couple packs of mortars. Mortars are the shit

And no cop problems.

I went out a little past the lesner bridge(sp) in a boat. There was at least $10,000 in gunpowder blown in a little less than an hour along the beach.
