ok what is a cct how much does it cost and how hard is it to fix??? if i took it to a shop what am i looking at paying?
It isnt necessarily the CCTL. Thats just a common rattling noise (sounds like marbles in a car during the RPM range mentioned above) of sportbikes and Hondas in particular. CCTL = Cam Chain Tensioner Lifter
The part itself is $45-$60 depending on if you get the manual A.P.E or if you go with an OEM Honda piece.
Labor varies. I was quoted $200 by Honda, $185 by another local shop, and $55 by a 3rd shop. Online DIY stories say its easy and takes anywhere from 1-2.5 hours.
ill also add.. shoulda GOT A SUZUKI !!!! but like any bike do a radiator fuild change. its good to do that every few thousand miles. HELP KEEP IT FRESH and its Summer time Bikes dont like to sit at a stop light just waiting.. ya 220+ the fan should have been turned on to help KOOL it down !!!
