I agreed to do a clutch for a friend in his S2000 right! Wow... I am a dumbass! Who would have thought that you pretty much have to remove the entire engine to get the damn transmission out! This is by far the dumb fucking design that I think I have ever seen! I dont think that there is another car out there made now days that you have to pull the engine to get the transmission out. And yes..i know that you dont actually have to remove the engine. (you just have to remove the exhaust manifold, remove the A/C, the steering joint, alternator, power steering and drop the subframe to get to the top 2 bolts.) Piece of cake!

Well.. on another note.. has anybody ever tried breaking the motor mounts free and lifting the engine up and moving it forward about 4 or 5 inches? Anybody know these cars and have an idea if that would work? Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

 

When I did the clutch on my S4 it was easier to drop the motor, trans, and front diff. together.. It was a suck Ass job too..

BUT, you would think because the S2000 is rear wheel drive it would be an easy, just take some bolts out and lower the trans, sucks it is being such an ass for you

It was a bitch to just get the damn headlights out, 8 bolts and the bracket. After all that the HID conversion kit I ordered still didn't fit supposively you have to customize some shit or somethin.
