I have a 96 accord with a jdm h22 in it i did the obd2 to obd1 jumper harness and i have the obd1 engine. i have a p28 ecu with hondata .the problem is the ac kicks out when you touch the accelerator. once the rpms are above 900 the ac compressor kicks off. i checked the system to see if its full of refrigerant with the ac machine and it is. it blows ice cold at idle. what can cause this?

most cars have wide open throttle relay for the a/c so the a/c will cut off when under heavy acceleration i would check that first for starters

it could be ur tune bud i knw my 2000 si is tuned on crome and when i get on it with the ac on it cuts it off so i can haul ass haha....

 

Sounds like the problem,cutting the compressor puts less strain on the rotating assembly.

I was thinking the hondata was doing it but its on a stock base map.
I didn't think it would disable the ac un less it was programmed to.

I had checked the ac system to see if it was overcharged it isn't

I was thinking the relay was acting up any idea where it is located?
and it cuts off when you touch the accelerator not even open throttle ..

 

can it be bypassed ?
