Read it in the the daily press about a year ago, ever since then, I always look up when I see those stripes! haha
I got a ticket in Florida on I-10 around Tallahassee about 4 years ago from a State Trooper for doing 94 in a 70. He asked me to lean out the window and pointed up to the plane in the air. He also wrote 'aircraft' on the ticket.
But you're dead on about the lines. You can still fight the ticket like you would a radar ticket, since they have to use approved time keeping devices that have to be calibrated and stuff. Might even be easier to fight than a radar ticket I just paid mine since it was only 180 bucks or so
ive always had a suspision about those white lines...and i always slow down for some reason when i come across them...now im glad i do!! i figured there was some state trickery about those things haha
the first pic is us in the back ground with the hanger (hm14- mh53e). The 2nd is HSC-2. The are SAR swimmers that have to keep quals up. If you follow the line from the door down you can see the rescue hoist and pendant. Seals mostly do there thing out of Dam Neck but time to time train there.
Nice cam by the way thats about a 600 yard shot from where you where at.
on the road, there will be white lines. They are spaced a certain distance, and your car will be times from the plane/helo flying above to see how fast you were going
