Restaurants of Richmond and suburbia
El Paso - Mexican food. Located at Parham and Brook Rd. For almost a year I went there for lunch EVERY day and never got tired of it.
Phat Boyz BBQ - BBQ and other homemade type food. Located on Washington Hwy past VCC mall on the left beside Green Top.
Like someone else already said, Galaxy is good.

Farouk's House of India on Cary
I just went there last week for the first time and it has excellent food. I didn't think I'd like Indian food, but this place definitely proved me wrong. They have really good service too. My water was always immediately filled back up when it got to the bottom haha.

Only a couple blocks down the street from my apartment and I still have yet to go there.
Some more of my favs:

Gourmet style food, nice cozy place, yummy
Mamma Zu's
501 S Pine St
Bangin Italian food
Sette
7 N 23rd St

Millie's Diner
2603 E Main St
Upscale diner...a bit pricey, but very delicious food.

You should give Curry House in Innsbrook a shot. My Indian friends always tell me that all Indian restaurants in Richmond suck, but Curry House is somewhat acceptable (though bland and Americanized to them). Good enough for me though!
Their chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo, and pakora are all bangin.
thank god I dont live near the place
I would gain a 100lbs
