Nah...from what I've read...only one vette was next to this splodingbimmer last night.

another was following though.

 

We were in Canada. . . but it probably looked identical.

 

So lets shed some acurate light on this story....

The first run we did was in 2nd gear at around 40 ish IIRC. We both mashed it and were pretty even, we had a gear change so quick intot he run that it was hard to tell who would pull in second. I missed third, he pulled about 2 cars on me and if anyone has every missed a gear you know exactly what happens.

What nobody is mentioning (very surprising to me) is how I was reeling him all the way to 150ish. Hardly a win....Hardly

I pussied out just about when we topped the overpass, I lifted and then he did.

Now I can believe he didn't see me as his eyes were on the road at those speeds but.... I kind of find it hard not too. I wonder what was going through his head as my lights were getting closer at ....... PM me

So we lined up again, I was excited since I new i missed a gear then reeled.... So I slowed and we went to do this again.

As I explained to the guys last night as we were waiting for the tow truck LOL, was 3rd is never hard to hit and it was not only odd but very hard to engage and took probably a ..25-.5 of a second to engane third in the 1st race.

So we lined them up again for a second gear roll we mashed it, I go the jump in 2nd and again had difficulty engaging third and KABOOM....

Not sure what happend yet but there was failure somewhere in the driveline. When I pull it apart I will take pics and post them, This was hardly a win nor victory.

As we were gathered waiting the wrecker TIKI said he believe I would pull the "stock" C5 and his C5 from a dig so.........

If it was just the clutch i will back down saturday to do it again, if its the tranny.... as soon as i can find one.

Now, I consider a stock car a stock car, to bad not everyone else does. That C5 is nice and for a "stock" car it sure is fast.. like the fastest stock C5 on the planet... I would love to see how it matches up to a C5Z....

As for all the BMW comments, although funny I would just like you all to remember one thing. I can make my car faster but you can not make your car nicer.... Directed to the "mustangs and the civics out there" LOL

We will do this again and we will be sure to video from a dig. Question... why did you guys cut the video so soon???? The race went for quite sometime after that. No?
