Header Leak
I recently bought 4-2-1 two piece headers and put them in my 2000 Integra. Everything went well, however there is an exhaust leak between the two pieces. Is it a good idea to have the pieces welded together, or is there another option like somehow finding a thicker gasket and replacing the original one?

just buy the gasket kit and make another gasket yourself.....its nor hard and all ya have to do is make a stencil of the size and cut it out....chances are, ya somehow damaged the gasket when installing it .....
just use some high temp rtv exhuast gasket maker..it comes in a little tube and is red colored..used it on mine and works great. you should be able to get it at any advanced auto, autozone, pepboys...ect
Get a gasket, preferably. Fuck that Exhaust cement shit. I promise you, you will hate that shit.
could be...i used mine also to connect my 2 piece header because no one around me sold an actual make it yourself gasket.
Well, if you can do it right the first time. Do it. I believe, depending on your header. You can go get a header/downpipe gasket for a Type R exhaust manifold. If not, just the 7 dollar make it yourself gasket. Works just like the other, won't be perfectly pretty but, it's better than RTV that looks like a glob of boogers.
