wtf...? Um you kinda need airbags, but i guess BMW figured it's not that important if your head hits the steering wheel. Any one see any Honda/Acura airbag failures?? i think not.
actually there was a recall on the airbag sensor for my honda fit
my gf had to replace her airbag units in her TIBURON and it was like 3k something in cost's....and that was a shitty as tiburon....i couldnt imagine on a bimmer

Are airbags in BMWs filled with gold dust and woven with the pubes of a pakistani virgin?

It wasn't really a sensor. It was the SRS wiring. Honda did a shitty job of weathersealing that part of the harness. The recall "calls" for sealing a few splices.
for the BMWs they are replacing the sensors NOT the airbags, the sensors retail betwen $50-$60 from what I could find on a quick google search
and since it's a recall it won't cost the owners anything but time

Yes, just found that out too. I don't know if any lawsuits have been filed yet with BMW of North America but there has been a few drivers who have had their airbags deploy while driving safley down the road and have their brakes lock up. This is off various Bmw forums.
