Guys,

Just some food for thought. If you have bought a motor from a junkyard or something it should have the Serial number on it to help with locating it?? I mean if you truly think someone has it try that route, get the police involved and they will check it.

op, u should post up all the info possible.. (names, locations, etc..) just a description of there cars is minor.. g/l either way..

btw, what area was this? (i know it says 804, but what area)

the vin numbers on motors/trannies are held on with pop rivets and thats the first thing removed from stolen parts.

Motor still has serial number stamp under engine code.

I have seen them grind it down to just show the engine code,

That's why a dremel engraver is a great thing...... tattoo it in a few random places. I used to do it internal on the block....
