That was my mistake on calling the base model a SL. I still think it's too costly for the performance mods for the non-turbo models. Personally, if the op really wants the performance get a vr4. Not just for it already being turbo, but awd helps in the handling department (but, take in mind that the v4s do gain more weight from the awd system). Lastly, there are a few 3gts with great straight line performance, but overall 3000gts weren't meant for drag racing, but tons of cash and willingness to work/test/break parts can change things

i'll take pics tomorrow and post them up, But its a 95 black, no dents, a few little scratches in the paint, and the only thing thats sunburnt is the weather stripping around the windows and the metal piece where the wipers are is rusting. Also the car came with slotted rotors front and rear but there not on yet.

if its not vr4, aka awd TT , than its blah IMO....but most of (okay, all that i have ever seen) SL's are just slow and drivers act like they are something....nice price for it though as long as the body is perfect or near perfect

So i pulled the heads out of the car, i know for a fact i have 7 bent valves out of the 24. Prices i've been getting to get the heads pressured/cleaned and labor is around 330 to 450 from diffrent places, and thats for both heads. i was told valves will be around 10 to 15 dollars for one. Also im replacing the timing belt/water pump all other belts, all gaskets ,tensenor and alternated, i've been priced 300 for all of that. Still deciding if im going to keep it after i fix it up, might sell it or trade for a truck

Well I have a base 3k and they are good cars but have bad torque steer. mine is jst a tad slower then an evo but there is a huge power difference in it from my VR4. they are good cars but have some wiring issues. and the SL and base are car u jst have to look good they can beat most older cars. 3sx has a FWD turbo that runs 9's check out their website 3sx.com or go to 3si.org they are both good sites to visit. o and one last thing they have really good suspention.
